In an exam hall you cannot check any of that, so students end up inventing authors, editions, and titles. An application that asks the headmaster to source unlicensed copies is asking for something a school cannot and should not do, and it reads badly in an answer that is otherwise a polite formal request.<\/p>\n<p>The correct thing to ask for is that the library <strong>acquire<\/strong> more books through the school&#39;s normal channels. You do not need to say how, you do not need to name a supplier, and you should never put a price in the answer.
